PARENT-AND-ME + PRESCHOOL

TINY TOTS: This coach-guided, parent participation gymnastics class, open to children 12-36 months of age, emphasizes rhythmic movement, body awareness and repetition. The parent is included in participation, not only to help guide the child but to have constructive playtime with them. This class focuses on both gross and fine motor development while emphasizing the importance of toddler socialization. Instructors make classes fun and interesting with stretching, jumping, swinging, and learning how to roll and fall safely. Parents will assist their little athletes through a series of obstacle courses and activities which will vary each week.

TINY TUMBLERS: Our preschool program is designed to help children, ages 3-4 years, grow not only physically, but mentally, socially and emotionally, as well. We focus on positive reinforcements for attempts rather than results. We help children to learn that their best effort IS the most important factor in being successful!

Children will independently explore beginning tumbling skills. Classes will emphasize confidence, following directions, listening and cooperating while using bars, beams, trampolines, and various mats. Children will learn to jump, balance, and roll while practicing taking turns and following a circuit. This class serves as a great transition for those wanting to practice separating from parents, but not ready to independently participate in a Beginner class.

BEGINNER

This 60-minute class is an introduction to basic gymnastics skills for children ages 3 and above. No prior gymnastics experience necessary. Classes will start with a 10-15 minute warm-up and stretch and then work through different stations. As the session and the athletes progress, the stations will be modified, but repetition of fundamentals while having fun is key to Beginner gymnastics.
At each station, little athletes will try a skill multiple times before moving on, sometimes with the hands-on assistance of a coach and other times under a watchful eye, teaching persistence, repetition, and good listening skills.

The athlete will progress to Level 1 (and beyond) after he or she has demonstrated better technique, improved strength and flexibility, and met skills required on the skills test (assessed by coaches at end of each session).
